Product Description Mark R. Levin presents his latest book in the face of what he sees as the modern liberal assault on Constitution-based values, anattack that has steadily snowballed since President Roosevelt s NewDeal of the 1930s and resulted in a federal government that is amassive, unaccountable conglomerate, the time for re-enforcing theintellectual and practical case for conservatism is now. Conservativebeliefs in individual freedoms do in the end stand for liberty for allAmericans, while liberal dictates lead to the breakdown of civilizedsociety -- in short, tyranny. Looking back to look to the future, Levinwrites conservatism is the antidote to tyranny precisely because itsprinciples are our founding principles. And in a series of powerfulessays, Levin lays out how conservatives can counter the liberalcorrosion and illustrates how change, as seen through the conservativelens, is always prudent, and always an enhancement to individualfreedom. A Warning for the Historically Ignorant September 5, 2010 Dave Anderson (Vancouver, WA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Mark Levin has once again clearly defined the progressive movement in America and codified its growth and damage to this nation. Filled with pertinant references and an abundancy of citations, Mark's book provides scathing insight to the transgressions of those politicians and citizens who chose to ignore the looming false promise of socialism and presents his argument for his stand on 'statism.'
Its an easy read for all, but a must-read for patriots who fear the changing culture in this country and the impact of wrong-headed policies that threaten the United States, albeit social, military, or religious transmutations.
Fantastic!!! September 5, 2010 Docrock 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I always viewed myself as a liberal but after reading this book I am now convinced that I was always a conservative probably indoctrinated at an early age into believing the liberal propaganda. This book makes it abundantly clear that our forefathers values are what made this country great.
Prophetic September 3, 2010 Boris Zalevskiy (Philadelphia) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Having witnessed Soviet-style communism first hand, I can say that this is where we are headed in this country if we do not turn back. Liberty and Tyranny is a must read to help understand the dangerous slope we are on.
Eye Opening to the Truth September 3, 2010 Art Johnsons (Chicago, IL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Liberty and Tyranny is eye-opening in revealing the socialist-communist takeover that is enveloping Washington and New York. A must read for every freedom loving American!
An Absolute Must Read! September 2, 2010 R. Tomlin 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book does an excellent job of explaining exactly what Conservatism is (and isn't) all about. There are many (some astonishing) examples of the "statist" agenda gone bad. There is no "fluff" in this book at all. Every page contains useful and insightful information and ideas. This book should be read by people on both sides of the political isle, since there seems to be so many misconceptions regarding what Conservatives stand for. Well done, Mr. Levin!
